I never would have thought that you could use Ric Rac to make flowers! They actually turn out pretty awesome!
I followed a tutorial found at http://www.theribbonretreat.com/blog/ric-rac-rose.html
This tutorial is one of the best I've found! Thought I'd share my first two attempts at this awesome little creation. Check out the tutorial & make some for yourself. They are so fun! Thank you Ribbon Retreat!!

Glitter ornaments
For teacher gifts this year, we gave the teachers glitter ornaments. I got the idea from my boss. :) She's so crafty!
I used clear Christmas ornaments, mop & glo, & glitter (fine glitter works best but I only had the large glitter).
First take the ornament caps out of the ornaments. Then pour a little mop & glo into the ornaments & coat the inside of the whole ornament. (shaking it causes bubbles so I just rolled it around until it covered the whole ornament). Let the excess mop & glo drain back in the bottle.
Use a funnel (I made a funnel out of a piece of paper) to pour the glitter into the ornament. Cover the opening of the ornament & shake it until the entire ornament is coated. Add more glitter if needed. Pour excess glitter back in glitter container, if possible. Let ornament dry.
Carefully put the ornament cap back on. If you want to add more embellishments such as beads or vinyl letters or paint, this is the time. :) I just added some ribbon & a gift tag.
These ornaments are so easy & so fun & so cute!

Christmas 2011
Every year at Christmas, I have to come up with a new creative Christmas card. I can't stand the boring old Christmas cards in the store. So to change things up, I've started using Shutterfly. I love being able to personalize my cards & every year they have such beautiful designs. This is our card for this year. :)

Fleece hat & mittens
Recently I was asked to make a hat & mittens set for a beautiful little angel. Now that we have finished the hat & mittens, we decided to make a cute little decorated onesie to match! Enjoy the photos!
Its a girl!!
So excited! Just found out we are expecting a little girl! This has got my creative wheels turning! So ready to start making stuff for my little girl! My son is a little too grown up to wear the cute little outfits mommy wants to make him so I guess I'll have to just sew for her. :)

Little bit about me
Welcome to my page! I'm Brittany. I created this to just share my creative ideas. I'm a bit of a creative nerd. I paint, sew, & do paper crafts. I recently bought my cricut & am enjoying learning how to use it. Hope you enjoy my projects!
